Valero commission 2 1:24 scale MAN TGX Tankers. These Trucks were commissioned to celebrate 50 years since the opening of Pembroke refinery, the site was opened by the Queen Mother in 1964, What we didn't know was that one of these beautiful models was to be presented to the Royal Baby Prince George of Cambridge! The trucks were treated to the works, decorated in Valero's stylish, clean livery with anniversary roundel celebrating 50 years of the Pembroke refinery. Real conspicuity lines with beautiful lighting kits featuring blue LED ground lighting, bright headlights, tail and brake lights, marker lights and flashing beacons on top of the cabs. The batteries were discretely hidden away inside the trailers, linked to an On/Off switch. All connected by working miniature suzzies. The prince's model was presented in a black satin hand made box, the other was treated to a custom sized acrylic case with vinyl base label, it now takes pride of place at Valero's main reception. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had this to say about the model, Kate: "George loves trucks but i think his dad will play with it more than him." William: "I think this one will have to be on display in my office." |
